The forthcoming 2020 Ford Edge will hit the markets once again, but this time without any major upgrades. The 2019 model already got numerous changes so Blue Oval carmaker feels there is no need for further updates.
The exterior is relatively fresh so don’t expect for the 2020 Ford Edge to suffer more significant upgrades. The current model arrived with the wider grille and different hood design. Also, a new set of headlights is bigger than the previous one. The LED lighting system is offered as standard and the rear end comes with the new bumper and power liftgate feature. For that reason, the 2020 Edge will remain intact.
The upcoming 2020 Ford Edge will look very inviting and modern from the inside. The cabin is so nicely designed and the layout is perfect. There will be numerous trim levels so the comfort will depend on that. Leather upholstery and plenty of premium features are optional. Edge adds Sync3 and Ford Alexa systems and the safety rating is perfect. This SUV offers a Co-Pilot 360 system that includes cross-traffic alert, rearview camera, and blind spot monitoring.
The all-new 2020 Ford Edge comes with two powertrain options. Previous 3.5-liter V6 is gone now and standard engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost. This engine is producing up to 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. A 2.7-liter EcoBoost turbocharged V6 is available on Edge ST model and it generates 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this efficient V6 unit, Edge ST is the fastest non-premium SUV.
Price and Release Date
The price of the 2020 Ford Edge will stay intact. It means the price for the SE model starts at around $30,000. SEL trim level is priced at $33,000 and Titanium at almost $40,000. Ford Edge ST will cost $43,000. This SUV will arrive in the second half of 2019.
