2016 Ford Ranger
One of the most popular trucks in US is headed back for markets. Primary planned as 2015 years model, looks like it will end as 2016 year model with some more modifications. This was the best pick-up truck in 2013, so high expectations are on this new model. Even though F-series seems to be the most popular and best-selling vehicles at the moment, return of the Ranger could make new pecking order. This would be fourth generation of this truck, and the first one was started in 1982. After reaching big success in native US, Ford soon launched this vehicle overseas. Since first boom, Ranger reached its peak, so Ford decided to cool it off for some time, and in 2016 we will see it again.
2016 Ford Ranger changes
We will see how many changes could bring new Ranger comparing to latest, 2013 year model. The 2016 Ford Ranger belongs to small pick-up segment. However, it has few advantages of higher classes, with towing capability and price. Also, fuel economy should be improved. The 2016 Ranger will be probably the same as its predecessor, with few updates. Except new materials for building, we assume that vehicle will get new grille and headlights. Also, bumpers could be revisited. Inside, new dashboard, with MyFord infotainment system installed on it are certain. Navigation, air-conditioning, seat heating are standard features, but for 2016 model will be improved.
2016 Ford Ranger engine
Engine of the 2016 Ford Ranger will probably remain the same as for current model. Since there are no information about new drivetrains, we expect 2.3-l EcoBoost V6 under the hood. Last model could deliver 143 hp with it. All wheel drive is standard. Another engine could be 2.5L Duratec 4-cylinder. New Ranger could get new transmission system. It is rumored that Ford is developing new 9-speed automatic gearbox, but there is no too much info about it. Other option is standard 6-speed automatic. All-wheel drive and 2WD will be options available for 2016 Ranger.
2016 Ford Ranger price
As well as its release date, price is still unknown. We assume it will be close to latest model, with some raise since updates are expected without major changes and additions. So, around $20,000 should be starting price for 2016 Ford Ranger.
