2016 Ford F750

Alongside with F650, F750 presents Ford’s line-up of medium duty commercial truck. These two trucks originally came in 2000 as a replacement for F600, F700 and F800 trucks. After fifteen year of production, we are finally going to see a second-generation model, which will come as 2016 Ford F750. New model was already presented at the 2014 National Truck Equipment Association Work Truck Show and it will come with plenty of changes, both visual and technical nature.

2016 Ford F750 redesign

This variant is a top model of company’s medium trucks and it features several chassis and frame modifications, compared to F650. While F650 is a 6/7 truck, since 2011 F750 is in a class 8 with a GVWR of 37,000 pounds. There is no doubt that redesigned model will keep in the same way and we can also expect some further improvements. Like F650, 2016 Ford F750 will feature new look, heavily inspired by smaller Super Duty trucks such as F250, F350 and F450. New model will feature new, longer hood, larger grille, re-shaped headlights and many other details, which will make it look more powerful and attractive. When it is about interior, 2016 F750 will be also influenced by smaller cousins but overall, it won’t be too much different from current model. It will feature the same style but with higher-quality materials and also upgraded hi-tech features. Some of most notable features are rapid-heat (cabin worms in a very short time), keyless entry, new multifunctional steering wheel, improved SYNC and Crew Chief fleet management telematics, 110 Volt outlets and many others.

The 2016 Ford F750 will be available with two engines. The first one is a 6.8 liter V10 petrol engine that outputs 362 hp and 457 lb-ft of max torque and which could be converted to propane in order to provide much lower fuel costs. There is also a diesel variant. It is a 6.7 liter turbocharged Power Stroke V8 engine, which is good for 270 horsepower and 675 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use the same TorqShift HD 6-speed automatic transmission.
