Lincoln Continental concept
The Continental is a luxury sedan made by Ford’s luxury division Lincoln. It was produce until 2002, when it was replaced by several models like Town Car, LS or MKS. During its long history, we have seen nine generations of this luxury sedan. In last few year, rumors about Continental’s return appeared and after company’s announcement that MKS will be retired soon, it was clear that Continental will once again be a company’s flagship sedan. The Lincoln Continental has been finally unveiled at the New York International Auto Show and beside astonishing look that we saw, company also promises plenty of other improvements, compared to outgoing MKS.
Lincoln Continental concept specs
Lincoln Continental concept was presented at the New York International Auto Show and it is clear that it is all about luxury. It came in Rhapsody Blue metallic color, which will be a model’s signature color. This concept feature all-new, completely different design from what we can see from current Lincoln models. It comes with sleek silhouette, and features completely new front end, finally without well-known split wing grille. Lincoln Continental concept features new centered chrome grille and with completely redesigned lighting, which is equipped with matrix head lamps with laser-assist high beams reduce glare and improve visibility.

When it is about interior, this concept comes with very stylish cabin, which is made of extremely high-quality materials. Some of the most notable features are Venetian leather seat and door panels, Alcantara® seat inserts and armrests, satin headliner, 30-way Lincoln-designed seats, Revel Ultima audio system, SPD SmartGlass® tinting sunroof and many others. The Lincoln Continental concept is also equipped with plenty of drive assist features such as Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Enhanced Park Assist and a 360-degree camera that displays on the MyLincoln Touch™ screen etc. When it is about engines, this concept came with all-new 3.0 liter EcoBoost and company claims that this unit will be used exclusively for Lincoln models. It is expected that production model will use new automatic transmission that Ford develops together with GM.
Lincoln Continental concept – serial production
Since this concept was presented about a week ago, it is still early to predict when production model will come. However, it is pretty much for sure that it will come during next year.
