According to the latest reports, 2018 Ford Flex will be latest model of current generation of this crossover. As you probably know, this is one of the most interesting crossovers that American manufacturer offers. Company designed it especially for the U.S. marker and it makes good sales results. This large crossover is popular all over United States. It originally came in 2009, while major update was done in 2013. Latest reports suggest that next generation should come in about two years, which means that 2018 Flex could be the last year model of current version. If we consider this upcoming redesign, it is pretty much for sure that we won’t see bigger changes for the next year, except maybe some smaller tweaks in terms of equipment.

We will see the same bold appearance, which was refreshed three years ago with several details. We saw new things on both ends, and 2018 Ford Flex should continue in the pretty much same manner. When it comes to equipment, it will continue with three trim levels – SE, SEL and Limited. When it comes to safety, all models feature things like antilock brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera. There are also optional features like blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning etc.
2018 Ford Flex engine
The 2018 Ford Flex will come in two variants, when it comes to engines. Base model feature a 3.5 liter Duratec V6 engine, which is good for 262 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. Optional engine is 3.5 liter EcoBoost, which despite the same size, features much more power, around 355 horses and 350 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come in pair with 6-speed automatic transmission. Both engines feature similar fuel economy, which goes around 17/18 mpg in combined drive.
2018 Ford Flex release date and price
The 2018 Ford Flex should come somewhere late this year. Price should remain the same, which means around 38.000 dollars for base model.
