2017 Ford F-650
Big truck segment of Ford will be refreshed for 2017 year. Two leaders in this class are F-650 and F-750, with slight differences. However, first one, 2017 Ford F-650, comes out first, while its sibling is going to follow it. Nevertheless, many features and design solutions are the same, but new truck also has some upgrades and new equipment.
2017 Ford F-650 drivetrain
Under the hood of the 2017 F-650 two options will be offered, one petrol and one diesel. Gas unit is powerful 6.8-l V10 powerplant, which can switch to CNG/LPG to be more effective. This plan B produces less power, but fuel economy increases significantly. In regular driving mode, F-650 can produce around 330 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Diesel variant is V8 drivetrain with 6.7-l displacement. This turbocharged engine can deliver 300 hp and almost 700 lb-ft of torque. It is worth of mention that engine can use B20 biodiesel fuel. Torqshift Hd 6-speed electronic gearbox is paired with both units. Fuel economy numbers were not released yet, as well as towing numbers.
2017 Ford F-650 redesign
The 2017 Ford F-650, as well as its sibling F-750, is going to be offered in three cab configurations. As its predecessor, it comes has Regular Cab, Super Cab and Crew Cab. Also, there are three plans for weight towing, with straight edge, dock crest and tractor outline offered at buyer’s choice. New grille is made for 2017 year model, and most of the other exterior details are pretty much the same as for its predecessor. That means we will have again sharp bumpers, powerscope trailer and slightly modified shape of headlights.
2017 F-650 features
Inside the cabin of the new Ford F-650 a lot features are going to be installed. Starting from 110-volt power outlet and Main armada administration telematics and quick warmth, all over to SYNC and multifunction controlling wheel. There is also a lot more equipment, but in common for all is their functionality for this big truck.
2017 Ford F-650 release date
Release of the 2017 Ford F-650 is expected in few months, probably in spring of 2016. Price will vary, but will start from $60,000. The F-750 will be slightly more expensive.
