2017 Ford Explorer
The Ford Explorer has been an excellent choice of vehicle for people on the go since 1990, with the SUVs ability to carry both cargo and passengers with ease and comfort making it one of the most popular sport utility vehicles on the market. Over the years, buyers have seen minor adjustments to the Explorer’s frame and interior, with a slightly updated fourth-generation released for 2015 and an upcoming mid-cycle freshening that will included improved interior and new rear and front fascias for 2016. Soon, however, drivers will have a whole new Ford to look forward to. The model is due for a completely new iteration in 2017, bringing with it the company’s nine-speed automatic transmission and possibly the global CD4 mid-sized platform.
2017 Ford Explorer changes
While no specifics have been issued for the 2018 release of the seventh-generation model, the 2017 Ford Explorer offers some hints as to what is to come. The updated SUV will have improved aerodynamics as well as a physique that shows a higher degree of sophistication and body lines that suggest both luxury and sportiness. The front grille is getting a redesign that has the headlights edging the corners, making for a better, more narrow positioning that does not cut back on efficiency. The taillights too will get a facelift, with a more angular design and fresh LED lamps. To emphasize the improvements, the wheels will be created in high gloss, and less heavy materials will be used in order to reduce fuel costs.
