2015 Lincoln Navigator L
The “L” variant of this full-size luxury SUV is an extender version of standard Lincoln Navigator. Compared to standard model, it features longer wheelbase, which provides more space inside and more cargo space and several other characteristics. It came with third-generation model in 2007 and it was introduce along with Ford Expedition EL. These two models share most of the parts so it is legal to call them mechanical relatives. Same T1 platform, suspension, powertrain and many other parts are almost identical in these two models. As you know, standard model came refreshed this year and 2015 Navigator L follows those changes too.

The 2015 Lincoln Navigator L comes refreshed too. It features new front fascia just like standard model. There is new slimmer grille and also new, redesigned LED headlights. It comes with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, while 22-inch wheels are optional. Interior now features new, resigned control board which follows the style of other Lincoln model. There is a large 8-inch touchscreen, but that doesn’t mean that all analog controls are replaced. There are volume knobs, knobs for climate control etc. The 2015 Navigator L also comes with upgrade MyLincoln infotainment system. It uses company’s T1 platform, which is very similar to one that earlier Ford F-150 trucks used. Compared to standard model, it is 14.7 inches longer and has 12 inches longer wheelbase, which provides more space inside the cabin and also larger trunk.

Just like standard model, 2015 Lincoln Navigator L won’t use big 5.4 liter V8 engine anymore. The only option will be far more advanced 3.5 liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine, which has an output of 380 horses and 460 lb-ft of max torque. Transmission is 6-speed automatic and you can choose between two and four-wheels drive configurations. Average fuel consumption is 15 mpg in city and 20 mpg on highway for 2WD model, while all-wheel drive variant makes 15/19 mpg on city/highway drive.
2015 Lincoln Navigator competition and price
This variant was designed as Ford’s response to Cadillac Escalade ESV and there aren’t more vehicles of this type in the market. Compare to standard model, 2015 Lincoln Navigator L costs few thousands more. Base model goes around 64.000, while all-wheel drive variant costs somewhere around 67.500 dollars. Completely redesigned, fourth-generation model is expected to come in late 2016, as 2017 year model.
