2015 Lincoln MKZ
The Lincoln MKZ is a mid-size luxury sedan, which was originally launched in 2005 by this Ford Motor Company’s luxury division. The second generation came in 2013, so no one expected big changes with 2015 Lincoln MKZ. Novelties for this-year model are minor and those include some new color options and some new standard features.
2015 Lincoln MKZ redesign
As we said, a redesigned model came two years ago, so 2015 Lincoln has pretty much the same characteristics. It is based on the CD4 platform, which also underprints Ford Fusion and Mondeo, while look of the car is follows the general concept idea, shown in 2012. Beside platform, this sedan shares many other characteristics with new Fusion so it is pretty much legal to say that these two cars are some kind of mechanical twins. The 2015 Lincoln MKZ comes only with new color options, when it is about outside look. There are four new paints – Bronze Fire, Luxe Metalicious, Magnetic Metallic, and Guard Metallic.
When it is about interior, 2015 Lincoln MKZ comes with some changes too. Rearview camera and sensing system are now standard features, while standard leather seats are replaced with new material called Lincoln Soft Touch seating surfaces. When it is about safety features, 2015 MKZ includes cruise control, lane departure system, parking assist, a rearview camera etc.
2015 Lincoln MKZ engines and performances
The 2015 Lincoln MKZ is available with two engines. The first one is 2.0 liter EcoBoost I-4 engine that outputs 240 horsepower and makes 26 mpg in combined drive. The other engine is 3.7 liter V6 Duratec engine, which has over 300 horses. Both engines are paired with 6-speed automatic transmission and both are available in FWD and AWD configurations. The 2015 MKZ is also available as hybrid. It shares the same powertrain as Ford Fusion Hybrid but has slightly lower fuel economy. It is rated at 41 mpg on highway and 39 mpg in the city.

The 2015 Lincoln MKZ’s price goes in a wide range, depending on engine, drive configuration, features etc. The base model goes around 35.000 dollars, while Black Label AWD variant starts at 47.000 dollars. Great thing about this model is that there is practically no difference in price between petrol and hybrid models. Base FWD Hybrid is also available at 35.000 dollars, while Black Label FWD Hybrid goes around 45.000 dollars.
