2015 Lincoln MKX
The MKX is a mid-size crossover produced by Ford’s luxury division called Lincoln. It was originally introduced in December 2006 as 2007 year model. Original, first-generation model is still under production. It suffered some modifications in 2011 and it will be replaced soon. The next generation of this mid-size luxury crossover has been revealed and it will be launched late this year as 2016 year model. Until then, company offers current-generation 2015 Lincoln MKX, which comes without significant changes and with similar characteristics as previous-year model.
2015 Lincoln MKX changes
As we said, 2015 Lincoln MKX comes without major changes. It features the same outside look that came with 2011 year refresh. It is characterized with the same, familiar company’s front fascia that came with 2010 MKZ. This car is considered as luxurious version of Ford Edge, but it also shares many technical parts with Mazda CX-9. The 2015 MKX is capable to accommodate five adult passengers and beside plenty of space, it also features very stylish interior, which was redesigned in 2011. This crossover is also full of advanced-technology features that rise level of comfort on even higher level.
The 2015 MKX features MyLincoln infotainment system, while all buttons and analog controls are replaced with digital ones. Large touchscreen on the center console makes all functions easy to use. When it is about safety, this luxury crossover is equipped with stability control, curtain airbags, blind-spot monitors and a rearview camera as standard, while cruise control and collision warning systems are optional. Great thing is that instead of several trim levels, company offers plenty of standalone optional features, so you can customize your own model.
2015 Lincoln MKX engine
The things under the hood will remain unchanged. The 2015 Lincoln MKX will be powered with the same 3.7 liter Duratec V6 engine that came with 2011 refresh. This engine, which also powers many Ford’s models such as Mustang, outputs 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Paired with 6-speed automatic transmission, this crossover is capable to make a 0-60 mph sprint in less than 8 seconds, although it weights over 4000 pounds, which is one of the best results in class.
2015 Lincoln MKX price
The all-new model is expected to come late this year. Until second-generation model comes, 2015 Lincoln MKX will be offered with the price of around 38.000 dollars for the base model.
