2015 Lincoln MKC
The Lincoln MKC is a compact luxury crossover made by Lincoln Motor Company division of Ford Motor Company. It is an all-new model, which was originally presented in 2013 LA Auto Show as a concept, while serial model went on sale in June 2014 as 2015 Lincoln MKC. It is made in Louisville Assembly plant.
2015 Lincoln MKC specs
This brand-new model came last summer. It completely follows company’s new design language that was originally introduced with second-generation MKZ and even refines it further, according to company’s spokesman. The 2015 Lincoln MKC is based on the Ford’s Global C platform and it also shares many other characteristics with various Ford models, especially with Edge, which could be considered as some kind of mechanical relative. It looks basically the same as 2013 Concept car, so there are company’s recognizable front fascia which includes split-wing grille and familiar headlights. On the rear end, 2015 MKC features beautifully shaped full-width taillights and the two-piece tailgate.
The interior is very stylish and it full of hi-tech features. Although is uses many details from models like Focus or Escape, most of the 2015 Lincoln MKC is directly related to MKZ sedan. It is equipped with company’s latest MyLincoln infotainments system with interesting combination of touchscreen and analog controls for volume, air conditioning etc. It also features MyLincoln Mobile app, which allows many services through the network like remote starting, a fuel-level check and a vehicle locator.
2015 Lincoln MKC engine
The 2015 Lincoln MKC is available with two engines. The base model is powered with 2.0 liter inline-four EcoBoost engine, which outputs 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of max torque. You would probably expect some six-cylinder unit, but more powerful variant of this luxury crossover is also equipped with 4-cylinder engine. It is a 2.3 liter I-4 EcoBoost engine that is equipped with twin-turbocharger, which makes 285 horses and 305 pound-feet of torque, which is good enough to run this crossover from 0 to 60 mph in less than seven seconds. Both variants of 2015 Lincoln MKC are available in FWD or AWD configurations.

This compact luxury crossover is designed primarily for young drivers so its rivals are models like Audi Q5, BMW X3, Acura RDX and other. The base model starts at 33.000 dollars, while AWD variants are available already at 35.500 dollars.
