2015 Ford Fusion

This car came in 2005 as a replacement for Mondeo and it instantly became one of the best-selling models in the class of mid-size sedans. Current model is in its second generation, which is present from 2013. Since this is still a pretty much fresh model and the sales are so good that company needed to make additional space for its production in Flat Rock Assembly Plant (along with assembly in Mexico, where production started), it seems pretty much logical that company launched 2015 Ford Fusion with almost no changes. Those modifications include some cosmetic tweaks and also some new standard features.

2015 Ford Fusion details

As we said, 2015 Ford Fusion remains pretty much unchanged. It features the same attractive design, which proves that good looking family-friendly cars are not always reserved for luxury segment. Although it is a family car, it looks very aggressive, sharp and stylish at the same time. It features exterior design which is completely in Ford’s new Kinetic design language, which reminds partly on some Aston Martin, partly on some Hyundai models. Interior of the 2015 Fusion also comes with the same styling, but with additional standard and optional features. Compared to first-generation model, this car features much longer wheelbase, which provides much more space, especially for rear passengers. The trunk is around 16 cubic feet, which is one of the best results in class. Great novelty is that rearview camera is now standard feature in all trims. Additionally, Terra Cotta style is now available for SE and Titanium trims.

2015 Ford Fusion engine

The 2015 Ford Fusion is offered with three engines. The base one is 2.5 liter 4-cylinder that outputs 175 horses and 170 pound-feet of torque, which works well but definitely doesn’t fit to the car’s aggressive styling. The best choice for those who want great performance is definitely a 2.0 liter I-4 Turbocharged EcoBoost engine that outputs 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. There is also a 1.5 liter Turbocharged I-4 EcoBoost, which is good for 178 hp and 177 lb-ft of max torque. One thing that will probably disappoint some of potential buyers is that there is no more manual transmission in offer, so 2015 Ford Fusion will available only with automatic transmission.

2015 Ford Fusion price

Since this car is available with three engines, three trim levels and many of optional features, you shouldn’t be surprised that its price goes in a very wide range. The base model costs around 22.000 dollars, while fully equipped top model goes up to almost 40.000 dollars.
